A day between village and Edge

Build a day around one memorable outing, then leave space for the village.

Choose the centre of your day

Kinver gives you three different starting points: the Rock Houses, the countryside above the village and the canal. Choose the one that brought you here. Adding all three can turn a relaxed visit into a sequence of transfers, particularly when you include an admission window, lunch and the journey home.

A heritage-first day

If the Rock Houses are your priority, check their calendar before arranging anything else. Treat the countryside and house admission as separate plans. After the visit, leave time for a village meal and a look along the High Street. Our Rock Houses guide explains the questions to settle beforehand.

A walking-first day

Choose a published route that suits your group and the conditions, rather than aiming for the longest available circuit. Save the route before setting off. A shorter outing with time to stop can be more satisfying than a long route squeezed between arrival and a fixed booking. The walk comparison helps narrow it down.

Keep one thing optional

Write down a return time and decide which extra you would drop first. For example, keep the village lunch but omit an additional canal walk. This is a suggested structure rather than a timed tour; use our day chooser to make a version that fits your interests.
